Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. is hiring a Machine Operator (Dry Press) for the Hendersonville, NC facility to support fast-paced production and ensure high-quality output.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year machining experience or a Machine Technology certificate, and ability to read English instructions. You will operate, inspect, and document production processes, record metrics, and follow safety and ISO/ITAR guidelines while collaborating with team leads to maintain

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, inspect, and run parts through production machines.
  • Maintain continuous flow and monitor quality and detail.
  • Record production metrics and document using basic computer systems.
  • Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on machines.
  • Complete production documentation and shift hand-offs.
  • Follow ISO/ITAR standards and maintain a clean work area.

Pay Range - $18 to $22.56 per hour (Ac tual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills.)

What You’ll Do

As a Machine Operator, you’ll play a hands‑on role in preparing, inspecting, and running parts through production machines. You’ll work from written instructions and collaborate with team leads to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a continuous and efficient flow of parts through assigned machines while monitoring operation, quality, and detail
  • Unload, inspect, and process ceramic and other components, identifying, removing, and documenting nonconforming materials
  • Accurately record production metrics (e.g., weight, dimensions, counts) and maintain quality tools and documentation using basic computer systems
  • Monitor and document machine performance, perform routine checks (every two hours), complete minor maintenance, and report repair needs
  • Complete all required production documentation, including shift pass-downs, while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including ISO, ITAR, and departmental operating procedures
  • Use measuring instruments and assist or guide less experienced operators as needed
  • Safely transport parts and cross-train on CMM and other measurement systems
  • Produce precision components within required timelines and support machinists as needed
  • Make machine adjustments using G-code and M-code as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
What You’ll Bring
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 1+ years of experience in a machining environment or Machine Technology certificate preferred
  • Ability to read and follow verbal/written instructions in English
  • Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
  • Familiarity with mechanical drawings and GD&T
  • Good vision and depth perception for inspection tools
  • Willingness to wear clean-room apparel (finger cots, masks, etc.)
  • Physical capability to meet production demands, including extended standing or walking, routine movement and positioning, fine motor skills for handling small parts and tools, and lifting up to 30 lbs., as required
  • Eligibility to work in an ITAR-regulated environment
