Job summary

Be part of Amcor’s Hazleton plant as a Manufacturing Assistant, supporting production across press, extrusion, or converting lines. You’ll assist operators, prepare materials, monitor equipment, and help ensure safety and quality standards in a collaborative, team‑driven environment.

The role involves 12‑hour night shifts with a premium night differential, OT at 1.5x, and a strong benefits package starting day one, plus growth opportunities within a global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with set‑up, operation, and monitoring of press, extrusion, or converting equipment.
• Prepare, load, and stage raw materials, rolls, inks, cartons, and supplies needed for continuous production.
• Transport materials using hoists, forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material‑handling equipment.
• Remove finished rolls, pallets, or waste and stage for the next step in the process.
• Inspect materials and running product for defects and report quality issues.
• Perform roll changes, ink changes, and material changeovers as directed.
• Record production data, weights, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with GMP, AIB, and food safety standards.
• Assist with housekeeping, waste handling, and recycling activities.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts
• Follow all safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, and company policies
• Assist other team members and departments as needed

Schedule Options:

• 12-hour 2-2-3 Nights (6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.) or (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

• Pay range: $18.41 – $18.86/hour (based on experience)

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry materials up to 50–60lbs

• Steel‑toed shoes and required PPE must be worn
