Machine Operator - Nights ($5,000 sign-on bonus!)

Job Overview

This individual will operate and ensure the machine runs at optimal safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include monitoring physical characteristics, conducting specific tests, and taking corrective actions to maintain quality and minimize waste.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Perform manual labor as needed, including climbing and bending.
2. Maintain a good record in work, safety, performance, and attendance.
3. Set up machines and make adjustments to ensure quality production.
4. Conduct quality control tests on all manufactured materials.
5. Perform roll changes, thread the machine, troubleshoot, and make adjustments such as diameter, perforation, tension, and log saw settings.
6. Keep the machine and work area clean and safe.
7. Complete daily production reports and other paperwork accurately.
8. Address runnability issues by adjusting diameter, perforation, tension, and other machine parameters.
9. Log saw adjustments, including setting grind stones and changing blades.
10. Handle roll changes, including installing parent rolls and cutting down cores.
11. Splice paper rolls into the web and thread the machine.
12. Lubricate machines daily, ensuring proper greasing and oiling.
13. Stand, walk, and use hands frequently; communicate as needed.
14. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly.
15. Perform other tasks as assigned.
