Job summary

Danfoss is hiring a 1st Shift Machine Operator in Freeport, IL. You will operate and maintain setups for conventional, special purpose, and NC machines to fabricate components in a climate-controlled facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 0–3 months related experience acceptable. Benefits start on day one, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), plus paid leave and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Sits, stands, walks, uses hands to handle tools; reaches with arms; talks and hears.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment and promotes workplace safety.
• Complies with SOPs, control plans, processes, and quality standards.
• Set up, operate, and dismantle unit assembly and sub-assembly workstations.
• Shows flexibility and adapts to changes in procedures, processes and technology.
• Fits and assembles parts into complete units with precise dimensions and alignment.

The Impact You'll MakeWe have an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. This position involves operating and maintaining setups for conventional, special purpose, and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate and assemble both metallic and nonmetallic components by performing the following tasks. The wage range for this position is $20.95 - $22.50 per hour.
