This posting is for a 2nd shift position.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up various products on different types and sizes of boltmaking machines. They will ensure safety, meet daily production and quality goals, and perform preventative maintenance.

Essential Functions

• Meet daily production and quality targets.
• Use measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and attribute gauges.
• Follow the Bill of Material (BOM) for tooling sequences.
• Set up machine operations, including wire draw, header, pointer, roll section, tracks, and conveyors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Secure raw materials as needed.
• Operate and become proficient with different boltmaking machines (e.g., Sacma, National, Formax, Nedschroef).
• Adhere to safety standards at all times.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Good math skills, including understanding metric and standard dimensions.
• Ability to understand and apply technical information from machine manuals.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
• Proficiency with various hand tools.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred. Entry-level training includes 40 hours of classroom instruction and up to 180 days of job shadowing with a senior operator.

Experience

Previous manufacturing machine operation experience is preferred. Experience with progressive presses is a plus. Prior work in a manufacturing environment is helpful.
