Job summary

Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee is looking for a Machine Operator for their Fort Worth Plant. This role involves operating automatic packing machines, ensuring continuous production, and communicating material needs with the Control Room. Key responsibilities also include setting up equipment, documenting material usage, and participating in operational improvements. Candidates must have at least a High School diploma, demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, and be fluent in English. The position offers a competitive benefits package from Day 1.

Job description

Position Overview

Machine Operator – Machine Operator at Fort Worth Plant. Operate automatic packing machines to pack products in shipping cartons, ensuring continuous line production.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, adjust, and changeover various packaging machines.
  • Partner with other Operators to carry out daily operational tasks.
  • Demonstrate and make minor repairs and/or adjustments to equipment as needed.
  • Ensure proper safety, quality, and sanitation checks and documentation are complete.
  • Communicate with the Control Room and Warehouse on material requirements, including coffee, tea and packaging.
  • Document material usage, and rejects/defects as needed.
  • Verify production quantities for accurate inventory postings in ERP.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as needed.
  • Use knowledge, creativity, and continuous improvement initiatives to implement efficiencies, safety and/or quality improvements of the work environment.
  • Assist with other packaging lines/personnel as required.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strive toward qualifications on at least three (3) unique types of packaging machines.
  • Experience with packaging equipment in similar environments such as food/beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing, preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Demonstrate initiative, take direction, and execute efficiently, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, Quality Control Points, and Safe Quality Food guidelines.
  • Able to demonstrate proper work techniques, training and guiding line team members.
  • Ability to train and lead others, work well with varied personalities, respectfully communicate and provide positive feedback, at various levels of the organization.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including overtime and periodic weekends and holidays required.
  • Demonstrate safe work habits and excellent work ethics.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate physical capabilities, particularly lifting up to 30 lbs.
