Machine Operator I – Automotive Manufacturing

Location: Florence, KY 41042
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour, with pay increases upon full-time conversion

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with excellent potential for permanent employment, career advancement, and increased wages after successful conversion. No previous CNC experience? That's okay. We provide hands‑on training for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Schedule

This position follows a rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule, providing every other weekend off.

Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Schedule Requirements: Rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule; Every other weekend required; 12‑hour shifts

Responsibilities
  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Load raw materials into machines and remove finished products
  • Perform machine changeovers and tooling changes
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain quality production
  • Learn and operate machine computer systems
  • Receive training on CNC and PLC controls
  • Complete SPC documentation and production records
  • Use measuring tools and gauges accurately
  • Perform basic math, including English and metric conversions
  • Safely lift, move, and handle materials throughout the production process
  • Receive training and certification to operate a forklift
  • Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes

Physical Requirements
  • Lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
  • Stand, bend, walk, and move for up to 12 hours
  • Work in a non‑temperature‑controlled manufacturing environment
  • Perform repetitive movements while maintaining quality and safety standards
Pre‑Employment Requirements
  • Seven‑year criminal background check
  • 9‑panel drug screening
