Job summary

Harvest Food Group is hiring a Machine Operator to support our food manufacturing floor. You will operate packaging lines, assist with line changeovers, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in a refrigerated facility.

You will record production data on a tablet, monitor line performance, and escalate issues promptly to ensure quality and on-time production. This role requires 3–5 years of machine operator experience, adherence to GMPs, and ability to work weekends or overtime as

Machine OperatorJOB SUMMARYThe Machine Operator performs production tasks in a food manufacturing environment. This role follows standard work methods, promotes safe work practices, and applies quality procedures to ensure production runs efficiently and in compliance with HFG safety and quality standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAssists with production line in manufacturing facility.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.Promotes quality and safety standards/culture.Follows all GMPs required by HFG.Notifies supervisor of any mechanical, ingredient, quality, and safety deficiencies.Follows instructions from supervisors and assistant supervisors.Follows and sustains “Continuous Improvement” program.Understands how all production assignments function such as:Performs packingOperates loading linePerforms box making and labelingPerforms palletizingPerforms floor sweeping and general cleaningPerforms blending using pitchforks and bucketsHelps with rotation on production lines as required.Understands how to set up, operate, and troubleshoot scales, baggers, PFM Horizontal Baggers, PMO Cup Lines, and Bowl LinesFills out and completes paperwork attributed to production line.Utilizes tablet to record operations, finished goods, and downtime throughout shift.Performs routine checks to ensure that the machine is in an operable state.Ensuring the correct packaging is used for specific product ranges and that packaging is done in line with the quality and customer standards.Performs inspections on equipment and reports findings to production management.Updates hourly performance boards as required per shift.Leads changeovers as required to ensure runs are completed efficiently and on time.Other duties as assigned.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONSPrior machine operator experience required (3-5 years).High school diploma or equivalentPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAble to work within timelines and in pressure situations based on production needs.Available to work scheduled hours and weekends as needed.Able to stand, bend, climb up and down stairs for sustained periods of time, approximately 10-12 hours per day as required.Able to work in a refrigerated environment (32–36 Degrees Fahrenheit).Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as required for job functions.
