Job summary

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The cherry picker / forklift operator will operate warehouse equipment to pick, move, organize, and prepare automotive parts for shipment. This position will also perform general warehouse duties, including loading, unloading, inventory control, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Pay

$20 - $21 per hour

Shift

1st shift: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.

2nd shift: 4 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Duties

• Safely operate cherry picker, order picker, and forklift equipment
• Pick automotive parts from warehouse racks according to customer or production orders
• Use RF scanners or warehouse systems to locate, pick, and verify parts
• Move, stage, and organize automotive parts throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, and containers
• Receive and inspect incoming automotive parts and materials
• Verify part numbers, quantities, labels, and warehouse locations for accuracy
• Stock automotive parts in designated warehouse locations
• Perform general labor duties, including sorting, labeling, packing, wrapping, and palletizing
• Prepare automotive parts and orders for shipment
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report damaged or missing parts
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures
• Assist other departments with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an automotive parts warehouse, distribution center, or similar warehouse environment preferred
• Experience operating cherry picker or order picker equipment
• Forklift operating experience preferred
• Previous general labor experience
• Ability to read and verify automotive part numbers and labels
• RF scanner experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment at elevated heights
• Ability to lift and move warehouse materials as required
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, push, pullthroughout the shift
• Ability to safely handle automotive parts and warehouse materials
• Ability to work around warehouse equipment, racks, pallets, and moving vehicles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to perform various warehouse and general labor duties
