Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Machine Operator for its Downingtown, PA facility. You will operate zones of forming machines, monitor quality, and perform routine maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications include 1+ year of machinery experience, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to read safety protocols in English. Availability on 2nd and 3rd shifts with a starting rate of $23.70/hour is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Some mechanical experience preferred.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• The ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Consistently operates zone of forming machines at or above standard levels considering waste, efficiency and utilization.
• Troubleshoot causes of machine malfunctions.
• Make appropriate adjustments or repairs to ensure that the quality of the cartons meeting specifications and that the machines operate properly.
• Conducts quality checks at regular intervals and takes corrective action to fix defects identified.
• Performs minor repairs during production.
• Performs changeovers.
• Performs weekly machine maintenance.
• Communicates with the operator from the previous and following shifts and with supervisors to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department.
• Performs purge procedures when changing to a new product and completes the required checklists.
• Follows LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Compensation Includes

• Starting rate at $23.70/hour
• Pay differential added for 2nd shift and 3rd shift

Available Shifts

• 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm

• 3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00am
