• Adjust machine settings to maintain standards.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Report issues to maintenance or supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Keep the work area clean and free of wood debris.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Operate plywood manufacturing equipment such as veneer lathes, glue spreaders, hot/cold presses, panel saws, and sanders

• Set up machines according to production specifications (panel size, thickness, grade, and finish)

• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent quality and output

• Inspect plywood sheets for defects, thickness accuracy, bonding quality, and surface finish

• Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain product standards

• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance

• Report mechanical issues or safety concerns to maintenance or supervisors

• Maintain accurate production and quality records

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE

• Keep work area clean and free of wood debris
