Job description

As part of the Wegmans manufacturing team, you will play an integral behind-the-scenes role to help keep the entire operation running smoothly. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and packaging all the fine ingredients to be used in producing Wegmans Brand products. What You'll Do

• Properly label all containers and carts and fill out electronic records accordingly
• Perform quality checks and properly handle products to ensure they meet food safety standards
• Practice safety techniques
• Operate machinery and equipment while following food and human safety guidelines
• Follow guidelines and labor laws, safely completing work, and maintaining a clean work environment

Work Environment Fast-paced environment requiring interaction with co-workers Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 10- 20 pounds of product on a regular basis with an occasional need to lift 50 pounds Typical movements include repetitive arm and hand motions, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching and twisting Will work in rooms with wet and/or humid conditions where temperatures vary from approximately 35oF - 75oF and must comfortably move from one environment to the next May be exposed to various allergens Required to wear company-issued footwear and jackets as well as a hair net, safety glasses, hard hat and gloves Required to follow Good Manufacturing Practices, including no jewelry in the workplace Will spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours; Experience in a food manufacturing environment and/or a FDA regulated environment or equivalent experience; Experience in the CIC; Experience at the Customer Service level
