CentroMotion’s Elliott Mfg. division in Binghamton, NY, seeks a Machine Operator to set up and run various manufacturing machines in the Assembly department. Under moderate supervision, you will follow work instructions, maintain safety and quality standards, and perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

You will read blueprints, interpret GD&T, and document dimensional compliance while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork in a production environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in a manufacturing assembly or fabrication position.
• Experience reading blueprints or manufacturing drawings.
• Self-motivated and proactive with respect to workload and professional development.

Your Role:

The Machine Operator is a key member of the Elliott Manufacturing Assembly department. Under moderate supervision, you will be responsible for setting up and operating all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment. You will undertake production tasks in accordance with work instructions while maintaining company safety and quality expectations. You will also perform basic maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot problems, or arrange for supervisor to have equipment repaired or serviced by appropriate technicians.

What You'll Be Doing:

What You Need to Succeed:

Compensation:

$20-$25/hr depending on experience and qualifications

Physical & Mental Demands:

Able to operate manual pallet jack & pull/ push 50 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:

Where You'll Work: You will work independently in a production environment on machinery within the Assembly department but will collaborate with other employees to complete tasks as assigned. You will spend most of their shift on your feet, operating machinery and doing assembly and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Will have machine shop exposure and may be around weld hazards. Hardware: Assembly and Production Machines, Welders, Induction Heat Treater, PC, Telephone, Printers, Copiers & Measuring devices. Software: Office Suite, Network Operating System as needed.
