Job summary

Carlisle Brake & Friction Inc in Medina, Ohio is seeking a General Machine Operator to run mechanical and automated equipment for brake, clutch, and transmission components. You will perform quality checks, adjust settings per routers, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team while

Responsibilities

• Operate mechanical or automated machinery for production of brake, clutch and transmission components.
• Operate various presses, grinders, or other machinery as required.
• Work on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts as assigned.
• Perform operations safely and review equipment at shift start.
• Ensure materials are available and report shortages.
• Adjust equipment parameters as per router.
• Operate equipment per router and perform quality checks per control plan.
• Document issues hour-by-hour and identify improvement opportunities.
• Monitor equipment performance and notify supervision of issues.
• Maintain and clean equipment before and after shifts.
• Complete operator-specific preventative maintenance procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Operate mechanical or automated machinery for the production of high performance and severe duty brake, clutch and transmission applications.
• Operate various types of manufacturing presses, grinders, or other machinery as required.
• This position may be on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
• Perform operations in a safe manner.
• Review equipment at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order.
• Ensure needed materials are ready and notify supervision of shortages.
• Adjust equipment parameters as stated in the router.
• Operate equipment as stated in the router.
• Perform quality checks per control plan.
• Complete hour-by-hour boards with documentation of issues if goals are not attained and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor equipment to ensure optimum running and notify supervision of any equipment issues.
• Maintain and clean equipment before and after each shift.
• Complete operator-specific preventative maintenance procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
