Molding Machine Operator
Temp to hire!Pay Rate $20.00/hourHours: M-W: 6p-6a, Th: 6p-10p
Training on 1st shift for 3-4 months. Day shift training schedule would be 6:30 a-3p. The manager is usually flexible so if the candidate needed 7:30am - 4pm or a similar variation, that should be fine too.
Location: Bristol, RI
Summary:- Set-up and operate direct form molding presses.
- Complete required measurements and documentation, and assure parts meet all customer quality specifications.
- Maintain high safety standards and strive for continual improvement of work space 5S.
- To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Qualifications:- The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
- Must perform intermediate math operations, including use of decimals, fractions and S.I. units
- Must have basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate PLC operator interface (touchscreen)
- Must perform measurements using Vernier calipers and digital scales
- At least 6 months experience in manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of proper safety procedures
- Effective verbal/written communications skills and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a self-directed team setting and ability to solve problems
- Must have strong work ethic, attention to detail, good attendance, and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Bending, reaching, kneeling, standing, lifting
- Required to move 55 gallon drums weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand truck Required to handle steel tooling up to ~70lbs
- Must be able to visually inspect parts for defects; good eyesight
- Required to work on concrete surfaces
