Job summary

HireLevel, Inc. in Bridgeton, MO is seeking a Machinist/Manual Operator to operate CNC waterjet equipment and manual milling tools. You will read shop drawings, set up machines, and produce close-tolerance parts from various materials.

The position is full-time on-site, with a first shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and a pay range of $24–$27 per hour, depending on experience. Candidates should have at least 2 years of manual machining experience and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with manual machining tools (mills, lathes, drill presses, saws).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous machinist experience; waterjet exposure is a plus.
• Ability to read shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints to create parts.
• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Must lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC waterjet equipment and manual machining tools.
• Develop and adjust programs from wire models as needed.
• Perform drilling, tapping, deburring, and polishing.
• Utilize drill presses and band saws for production.
• Produce close-tolerance parts from various materials using manual machining and waterjet equipment.
• Interpret drawings for setup and production.
• Calibrate waterjet machinery to meet tolerances.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as needed.
• Suggest improvements to enhance production processes.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities of Machine Operator

Requirements of the Machine Operator

Must have a least 2 years experience with a variety of manual machining tools - mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, etc. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience as a machinist; waterjet equipment exposure is a plus.Ability to read and understand shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints to create parts. Forklift operation experience is a plus.Ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks.Must lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.Frequent walking, climbing, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead.Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels.
