Job summary

VENTURA FOODS LLC in Bremen, GA is seeking an Experienced Machine Operator for the 1st/Day shift to operate one plant machine with strict adherence to safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product. You will work to maintain standard efficiency and meet daily production requirements.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 20 pounds safely and without strain.
• Perform basic arithmetic as needed for measurements.
• Read and understand simple instructions and memos.
• Identify colors accurately for quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Read and perform Authorized LOTO as outlined for machine.
• Operate the machine safely at standard conditions.
• Read job specifications to determine adjustments and material needs.
• Communicate daily with Team Leader or Shift Supervisor about changes affecting quality or efficiency.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects, malfunctions, or waste.
• Review product for inconsistencies and ensure it meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ensure product specs, HACCP, label verification and other quality measures are met.
• Note machine deficiencies and parameters on the communication board.
• Communicate with oncoming Machine Operator.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain housekeeping, environmental, and GMP standards.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as needed.

General Purpose: To efficiently operate one machine at standard efficiency levels in order to fulfill daily production requirements.

Position Responsibilities

• Read and Perform Authorized LOTO as outlined for machine.
• Operating in a safe manner.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Communicate daily with Team Leader or Shift Supervisor on any changes or issues that may impact quality or machine efficiency.
• Sets stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects, machine malfunction and waste.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Ensure product specification, HACCP, label verification and other quality measures are in compliance.
• Ensure any machine deficiencies, cases per hour, and other parameters are noted on the communication board.
• Communicate with oncoming Machine Operator.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• Ensure all housekeeping, environmental, and GMPs are maintained and adhered to.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.

Qualifications Essential Skills and Experience

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Must be able to identify colors.
