Job summary

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. in Bow, NH, is hiring a Machine Operator to support feed manufacturing operations, quality control, ingredient processing, loadout and equipment maintenance. The role requires independence, teamwork and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
  • Farming background a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good communication, verbal and math skills.
  • Able to lift at least 55 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to process and manufacture feed products.
  • Safely operate bagger, sewing machine, forklift and related equipment.
  • Follow warehouse and loading protocols.
  • Ensure quality by proper ingredient receiving and bagging.
  • Record all feed produced during shift.
  • Assist with production scheduling and inventory for ingredients and finished goods.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain safety policies and housekeeping.
  • Load and unload trucks safely.
  • Perform general duties around the facility.

In this role, you will support feed manufacturing operations through quality control, ingredient and feed processing, loadout activities, ingredient receiving, equipment maintenance, and housekeeping. The schedule for this opportunity is 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Bow, NH
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products
  • Operate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow warehouse and loading protocols
  • Ensure Kent Nutrition's quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging
  • Record and document all feed manufactured during shift
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality
  • Assist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed
  • Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures
  • Perform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by Plant Management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 plus years of manufacturing experience
  • Farming background a plus
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills
  • Able to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Thorough understanding of cGMP’s
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs. from floor to working height as job requires
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
