Job summary

CT Polymers, LLC. is hiring a forklift/operator to set up and operate production machinery. You will handle materials with a sit-down forklift, prep lines, and maintain logs for quality control.

The role requires endurance to stand and lift up to 65 pounds and to communicate effectively with the team. Responsibilities include documenting production activities, staging supplies, and supporting shift meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years forklift experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65 pounds and stand most of the shift.
• Accurate math using gross, tare, and net calculations.
• Maintain logs and records legibly and timely.
• Reliable teamwork and ability to follow instructions precisely.

Job description

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain simple and complex industrial machinery.
• Equipment Care: Clean production machinery and remain responsible for company-provided tools.
• Material Handling: Supply production lines and store materials using a sit-down forklift.
• Logistics & Prep: Clean boxes, lids, and skids thoroughly before staging them.
• Documentation: Complete quality control logs, production ledgers, and box tickets legibly.
• Basic Math: Compute material weights accurately using gross, tare, and net calculations.
• Collaboration: Participate in shift meetings, training sessions, and communicate with coworkers.
• Forklift Experience: Minimum 2 years of forklift experience is mandatory.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 65 pounds.
• Mobility: Stand, walk, stoop, and bend 80% of the shift.
• Stamina: Get on and off forklifts repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• Technical Skills: Proficient using calculators, adding machines, and industrial scales.
• Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and work under deadline pressure.
• Certification: Valid Forklift Certification is highly preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Pay: From $16.00 to $17.50 per hour.
