Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services in Ayer, MA is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will assist with operating fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, measuring finished products, and performing basic machine adjustments in a safe, organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Review specifications for operating sequence of machine.
• Load, operate, run, and unload machines including CNC, Press Brake, Laser.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and bend allowances.
• Measure finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Lift work pieces and tooling as needed.
• Keep work area clean and well organized.
• Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot.

CoWorx is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Ayer, MA. In this role, you will assist with operating fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, measuring finished products, performing basic machine adjustments, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Previous metal fabrication experience is preferred, but candidates with mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Location: Ayer, Massachusetts

Responsibilities:

• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Review specifications for operating sequence of machine
• Loads work pieces, operates, runs, and unloads machines to include but not limited to CNC, Press Brake, Laser, etc.
• Maintain specifications by tapping, pemming, drilling, grooving, milling, and cutting
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and bend allowances
• Clean and maintain machine and tooling
• Measure finished work to ensure conformance to specifications
• Lift work pieces, fixtures, etc.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in general housekeeping in department
• Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot
• Adhere to all company policies
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Background/Skills:

• Ability to read blueprints required
• Ability to speak, read, and write English required
• Basic math skills required
• Familiarity with various types of metal: Aluminum, cold roll, and stainless steel helpful
• Ability to work for 8 hours standing, walking, reaching, and lifting
• High School Diploma or GED required
