Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain production machinery in our facilities. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality. Hourly rate is $25 to $27.50.

You will read work orders, adjust settings, perform basic maintenance, conduct quality checks, and help keep a clean, organized work area. Overtime and Saturdays may be required; 5S participation and lifting up to 50 lbs are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Ability to operate machinery including printing press, rewinders, forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery per standards and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make minor repairs.
• Read and interpret production work orders for size/print of finished material.
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Record production data and report issues to supervisor.
• Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
• Drive forklift to move products and materials.
• Follow safe practices and know first aid and emergency procedures.
• Be available for overtime including Saturdays as needed.
• Participate in 5S in all facility areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure wrap meets Miami Dade qualifications for roofing underlayment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for long periods.

Job Description

Ox Engineering is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain various types of machinery used in our production process. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. Hourly Rate:$25 - $27.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and make minor repairs to equipment
• Read and interpret production work orders for size/print of finished material
• Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
• Conduct quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor
• Work is performed in a normal manufacturing environment (without climate control)
• Drive forklift to stack/unstack and move products and materials
• Follow safe work practices and maintain a working knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
• Must be will to work assigned shift and overtime as needed (both during the week and Saturdays if production demand requires it)
• Employee shall participate in maintaining 5S in all areas of the facility, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, and other related tasks.
• Employee will be expected to perform any other assignments and duties as assigned.
• Complete regular checks to make sure our wrap meets quality standards including Miami Dade qualification for roofing underlayment
• Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for long stretches

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to operate a variety of machinery (Printing press, rewinders, forklift, powered pallet jack, floor scrubber)
• Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience is highly preferred
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications a plus
• Familiarity with production tracking or quality systems
• 2+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or production environment
• Basic computer skills for entering production data or using digital controls
