Job summary

Revolution Medicines is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist II to accelerate drug discovery through advanced analytics and AI. You will develop predictive models transforming complex datasets into actionable insights for research teams, working at the interface of data science, chemistry and biology.

Qualifications

• PhD in machine learning, computational biology, computational chemistry, CS, statistics or related field or MS with relevant industry experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience applying ML to scientific datasets.
• Experience developing, validating and evaluating predictive models.
• Strong Python and scientific computing (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy).
• Hands-on familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate ML models for drug discovery questions (activity, selectivity, developability, target engagement, phenotypic outcomes).
• Perform exploratory data analysis and quality assessment on chemical, biological, imaging, and phenotypic data.
• Prepare and integrate heterogeneous datasets (chem structures, screening data, etc.).
• Apply supervised learning, deep learning, graph-based methods and ensembles under guidance of leads.
• Collaborate with data engineering and ML engineering to support reproducible workflows.
• Translate scientific questions into computational analyses with cross-functional teams.
• Document methods, code and results for reproducibility.
