Job summary

Homes.com, a CoStar Group property, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II to build production-grade ML models that power our real estate platform. You will collaborate with software engineers, product leads, and business stakeholders to deploy and optimize models across large-scale data in a cloud ML environment.

This role is based in Arlington, VA with a four-day on-site schedule Monday-Thursday and remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college/university.
• 3+ years of professional development experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or related role.
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python.
• Experience with recommendation systems and (preferably) computer vision.
• Strong foundations in ML concepts including supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning environment.
• Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable and maintainable models that handle large amounts of data.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improve customer experience.
• Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things.

This Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on building and scaling production-grade machine learning solutions that directly enhance CoStar’s products and customer experience. The engineer will work closely with software engineers, product leaders, and business stakeholders to develop, deploy, and optimize ML models across large-scale datasets, while helping evolve CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning platform.

This positionis located inArlington, VA and will have a 4-day onsite schedule Monday-Thursday, with Fridays work from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning environment
• Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable and maintainable models that handle large amounts of data.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improves our customer’s experience
• Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university
• A track record of commitment to prior employers
• 3+ years of professional development experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or related role
• 2+ years of programming experience with Python
• Experiencewith recommendation systemsand (preferably) computer vision
• Strong foundations in ML concepts including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorchor TensorFlow)

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with ML cloud tools such as Databricks, Amazon Personalize, SageMaker
• Experience with SQL-based relational databases (e.g. AWS RDS) or document-based databases (e.g. DynamoDB).
• Experience solving streaming and batch data processing problems at scale
• Experience building, deploying and optimizing ML models

Base Compensation: $126,000.00-$193,000.00 Annually
