Homes.com, a CoStar Group company, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in Arlington, VA to build and scale production-grade ML solutions. You will work with software engineers, product leaders, and stakeholders to develop, deploy, and optimize models across large datasets and evolve CoStar’s cloud-based ML platform.

We value experience with ML concepts, Python, and either recommendation systems or computer vision, plus hands-on cloud tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of professional development as ML Engineer/DS or related role.
• 3+ years of Python programming.
• Experience with recommendation systems and preferably computer vision.
• Strong ML fundamentals and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

This Machine Learning Engineer role focuses on building and scaling production-grade machine learning solutions that directly enhance CoStar’s products and customer experience. The engineer will work closely with software engineers, product leaders, and business stakeholders to develop, deploy, and optimize ML models across large-scale datasets, while helping evolve CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning platform.

This position is located in Arlington, VA and will have a 4-day onsite schedule Monday-Thursday, with Fridays work from home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate on the continued improvement of CoStar’s cloud-based machine learning environment
• Design, build, test and deploy scalable, reusable and maintainable models that handle large amounts of data.
• Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and leadership to create ML solutions that solve practical problems and improves our customer’s experience
• Gain an understanding of the CoStar business and how ML can improve things

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university
• A track record of commitment to prior employers
• 5+ years of professional development experience as Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist or related role
• 3+ years of programming experience with Python
• Experience with recommendation systems and (preferably) computer vision
• Strong foundations in ML concepts including supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, and familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience with ML cloud tools such as Databricks, Amazon Personalize, SageMaker
• Experience with SQL-based relational databases (e.g. AWS RDS) or document-based databases (e.g. DynamoDB).
• Experience solving streaming and batch data processing problems at scale
• Experience building, deploying and optimizing ML models

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role with fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies. Base Compensation: $166,000-204,000#LI-AV1#Homes.com
