Job summary

Grid is seeking an Machine Learning Engineer in Seattle to help build and scale core product lines. You will work with product, engineering, and business leaders to leverage data across multiple datasets and research objectives, impacting fraud prevention, risk underwriting, and payouts.

Bring deep ML expertise, experience with Python and SQL, and a proactive, autonomous mindset. The role offers a collaborative, growth-focused environment in our Seattle office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Machine Learning/Applied Science with strong statistical inference.
• Deep learning experience, including transformer-based models.
• Experience reading and implementing research papers in ML or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Research & Analysis: data research using Grid datasets and other sources.
• Model Development: develop and validate models aligned with business objectives.
• Deployment & Iteration: update models based on feedback and performance.
• Productionization: work with data engineers to translate into production-grade data products.
• Present Findings: communicate results to team with varying technical depth.
• Foster DS @ Grid: help grow Applied Science and ML practice.
