We’re looking for Machine Learning Engineers across two teams: InstructLab and OpenShift AI. In this role, you will build, optimize, and scale machine learning models while contributing to innovative AI solutions and helping users understand ML predictions. During the hiring process, we will work with you to determine the best team placement based on your background and interests. While core requirements remain consistent, your day-to-day responsibilities will align with your team’s objectives.

Ideally, applicants should be located in the Boston, MA or Raleigh, NC area. Remote work opportunities will be considered depending on the role and required skills.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement machine learning systems
• Develop and optimize ML models for production
• Create and maintain ML infrastructure and pipelines
• Ensure ML systems are scalable and maintainable
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize models
• Work closely with researchers, developers, and AI/ML communities

What You Will Bring

• Experience in AI development, deep learning, ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn), prompt engineering, and fundamental mathematics
• Experience in feature engineering
• Proficiency in PyTorch, Go, & Python
• Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, or other cloud-native technologies
• Experience with agile development, Jira, and Git
• Ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies
• Excellent communication skills

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $133,650 - $281,770, based on qualifications.
