Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, particularly in production environments.
• Hybrid work arrangement in Westbrook, ME; willingness to commute or relocate if needed.

Innovative Machine Learning Engineer – Drive Next-Gen AI Solutions

Overview

Are you passionate about transforming cutting-edge data science into tangible, real-world solutions? We’re seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic R&D AI Center of Excellence. In this pivotal role, you will build and operate the infrastructure that powers our most advanced machine learning and computer vision models—from scalable training pipelines to on-device deployment on edge hardware. Required Skills

• Proficiency in Python for machine learning and software development
• Experience with Spark and distributed computing frameworks such as Ray
• Strong understanding of SQL for data management
• Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch and foundation/vision models
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda)
• Proven ability to deliver solutions into production environments
• Expertise in containerization (Docker) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Knowledge of GPU/CUDA optimization techniques, including TensorRT and DLA inference tuning
• Linux expertise
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and collaboration skills

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with computer vision, microscopy, or scientific imaging data
• Familiarity with NVIDIA edge platforms (Jetson Orin/Thor) and related SDKs (Nsight, DeepStream)
• Experience creating and deploying serverless applications via AWS Lambda
• Knowledge of Databricks, MLflow, and ML tech stacks
• Experience with distributed systems like Ray and advanced ML deployment techniques

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s or PhD preferred)
• 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, particularly in production environments

• Location: Hybrid – Westbrook, ME; willingness to commute or relocate
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 5 months (extendable based on project needs)
