Job description

Shaped is an API for ranking. We help developers create frictionless discovery experiences using feeds, recommendations and notifications. Ultimately, our goal is to make AI accessible for everyone and we see machine-learning for discovery (e.g. TikTok "For-You Page", FB “News feed” and YouTube "What to watch next") as the best place to start.

Shaped is a YC-backed seed-stage startup. The founders built many of the ranking models at Facebook and have also worked at Uber, Afterpay and Google. We're a team of 5 working remotely across the globe and are about to get an office in NYC.

We are looking for a machine learning engineer to design, build and optimize Shaped's ranking engine. You will be a founding engineer working on state-of-the-art machine-learning infrastructure and models. You will have the chance to touch all parts of the production and experimentation ML stack. As one of Shaped’s early employees you will help shape our product roadmaps and engineering culture.
