Job summary

Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a skilled Machine Electrician to assemble and wire forming machinery used by manufacturers around the world.

You will read schematics, install control panels, motors, sensors, and other components, and ensure quality and safety standards throughout assembly. You will work with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and improve processes on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Comfortable using common hand tools and electrical test equipment such as a multimeter.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire electrical components including control panels, motors, switches, sensors, and other machine components.
• Build and route machine wiring according to electrical schematics and engineering specs.
• Read electrical drawings to accurately complete wiring and assembly.
• Use hand and power tools to complete installations; perform basic electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Identify wiring or assembly issues and work with engineering and manufacturing to resolve them.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area; ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with electricians, mechanical assemblers, engineers, and other team members to meet production schedules.
• Contribute ideas to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and processes.
