Job summary

Five Star Management in Houston, TX is seeking an Industrial/Machine Cleaner to perform thorough cleaning of machines and equipment and maintain overall facility cleanliness in line with production schedules and safety procedures. The role collaborates closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure cleanliness does not disrupt operations.

You will follow PPE rules, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot, cold, or humid environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and wipe down machines, equipment, and tools according to cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Remove dust, oil, grease, ink, or product residues from machine surfaces.
• Assist with deep cleaning during plant shutdowns or preventive maintenance activities.
• Clean walls, windows, doors, and overhead structures as assigned.
• Empty trash bins and disposal of waste materials following company procedures.
• Assist with special projects such as event cleanup, reorganizing spaces, or emergency spill response.
• Identify and report potential issues such as leaks, damaged parts, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel to help prevent accidents or equipment failure.

This position is responsible for performing thorough cleaning of industrial machines and equipment, as well as maintaining general cleanliness throughout the building. The cleaner works closely with the maintenance and production teams to ensure that machines are cleaned in accordance with company procedures and production schedules, without compromising safety or operations. The Machine and Facility Cleaner helps ensure the facility complies with all internal cleanliness standards and external health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Must be able to work in hot, cold, or humid environments depending on facility conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, as needed.
• Our work environment is in warehouses that are mostly climate controlled. However, Houston is hot and humid in summer months and cool winters. Need to be able to tolerate heat and cold accordingly.
