Quality Vision International Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Assembler to bring QVI Metrology Equipment to life through precise mechanical assembly and troubleshooting at our Rochester, NY on-site facility.

You will follow engineering drawings, perform functional testing, and contribute to high-quality products in a collaborative environment. This entry-level Assembly Technician I role emphasizes hands-on craftsmanship, attention to detail, and opportunities to advance within advanced assembly

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, including tools such as torque wrenches, drills, and sanders.
• Strong understanding of measurements, tolerances, and metrology concepts.
• Technical curiosity and eagerness to develop in areas like computer operations, troubleshooting, and quality control.
• Ability to read and follow technical documents such as blueprints and assembly diagrams.
• Detail‑oriented and disciplined, with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Serious and professional in their approach, with a high standard of craftsmanship.
• Someone who enjoys variety and change while maintaining precision and focus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fine‑tune a range of mechanical, optical, and electrical subassemblies under general supervision.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and assist in resolving assembly issues with the guidance of leads and supervisors.
• Interpret engineering drawings and ISO‑standard work instructions to ensure accurate builds.
• Conduct functional testing and inspection to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
• Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical components to support product functionality.
• Maintain organized workspaces and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Compensation: $20-$31, based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Comfortable standing for long periods during production.
• Excellent hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision tasks.
