Job summary

Hydromat Inc. is seeking a Machine Build Technician to join our Missouri manufacturing team. The role involves assembling components, reading blueprints, and maintaining precise torque and fit in a dynamic, all-weather environment.

Candidates should have experience with hydraulic/pneumatic concepts, layout and drilling tasks, and the ability to follow detailed instructions. Tools and crane/forklift credentials are a plus in this busy shop.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembling and disassembling mechanical components.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings for assembly.
• Understanding torque specifications and proper fit of parts.
• Attention to detail and organized work area required.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.
• Willingness to follow detailed verbal and written directions.
• Troubleshooting skills are advantageous.
• Experience machining small parts on manual mills/lathes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and reassemble components according to blueprints.
• Interpret torque specs and ensure correct fit and tolerances.

Job description

Monday-Thursday 6:00 am-4:30 pm- 4 ten-hour days

All-weather, climate-controlled working conditions.

What does a Machine Build Technician consist of:

• Familiar with proper assembly and disassembly techniques.
• Understanding fastener torques and how things fit together.
• Able to read blueprints to assemble components.
• Attention to details and keeping work area organized.
• Knowledge of the metric system is a plus.
• Understands hydraulic and pneumatic concepts and how actuators work.
• Having own tools is a plus.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Dynamic and varied workplace, not the same thing everyday.
• Troubleshooting skills a plus.
• Ability to make small parts or modifications to parts using a manual vertical mill (Bridgeport) a huge plus.
• Ability to make small parts or modifications to parts using a manual lathe (Hardinge) a huge plus.
• Machinists, Maintenance machinist, industrial maintenance technicians, and machine technicians are a good fit for this position.
• Ability to layout, drill and tap holes manually and accurately. Is proficient with a hand drill.
• Forklift certified a plus.
• Crane certified a plus.
• Ability to layout and bend conduit/tubing a huge plus.
• Knowledge of Fanuc programming a huge plus.
