Job summary

JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, seeks a skilled Machine Builder for our Holland, MI facility. You will assemble equipment per mechanical drawings, document changes, and perform tasks with minimal supervision in a safety-focused, ISO-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Vocational education preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Intermediate proficiency reading part and assembly drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo forklift, aerial platform and overhead crane license.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Assembly of equipment per mechanical drawings.
• Document changes and problems and communicate them.
• Carry out tasks with minimum direct supervision.
• Execute ISO/Quality standards.
• Communicate with the Machine Build Lead on open issues and progress.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
• Assist with preparing material for secondary processes (material finishing, heat treat, deburring).
• Operate: Mill, Lathe, Drill Press, Surface Grinder, Saws, Shears, Presses.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
