• Performs general housekeeping in order to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workstation.
• Assists in the training of new employees.

JOB SUMMARY

The Machine Attendant trims flash, hot stamps, and inspects a variety of plastic products, including tubs, totes, and waste containers.

JOB DUTIES

• Trims flash from molded parts.
• Removes sprue from products.
• Hots stamps, imprints, and/or assembles products as per order specification.
• Monitors production process and notifies supervisor of non-conformities.
• Makes adjustments in the Plantstar System to account for rejects as needed.
• Inspects all parts and documents action on the In-Process Inspection Log every 30 minutes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Three months of previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a work pace equal to the machine cycle

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment where there is exposure to noise and moving mechanical parts
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, talk, see, and hear
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 25 lbs. occasionally and up to 10 lbs. frequently
• Ability to roll up to 100 lbs.
