Job summary

WestRock Company is seeking a Machine Assistant - Stacker for an onsite role in Georgia. Starting pay is $18.50 and increases to $19.80/hr with qualification. Shifts include 2nd and 3rd with some overtime and weekend work. The role supports fast-paced production and quality checks within a non-climate-controlled facility.

The candidate should be safety-focused, quick to learn, and able to assist multiple machines and areas as needed, contributing to a clean and organized production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English.
• Able to read basic instruction manuals and procedure sheets.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot or cold environments.
• Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection; PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform tasks supporting manufacturing areas and production.
• Conduct quality checks and material setup; maintain a clean workspace.
• Assist machine operators and jam-ups; help with setups across machines.
• Ensure tooling is on hand and surrounding area is kept free of debris.

MACHINE ASSISTANT - STACKER

Starting Pay: $18.50 once qualified $19.80/hr+

Shift: 2nd & 3rd shift M-F 11p-7a overtime and weekends as needed or 2nd shift M-F 3p-11p

Work Environment

Onsite, non-climate-controlled

The Opportunity

Primary job duties will include but are not limited to safely performing a wide range of tasks supporting the manufacturing areas, production, conducting quality checks, material setup, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery, and have a desire to advance within the company.

• The Manufacturing Helper is normally the third team member assigned to a machine in the Production.
• Being able to support operators on different machinery while assisting different areas as needed.
• Some of the duties of this position include, but are not limited to ensuring that all tooling for the machine is on hand, assisting the machine operator and assistant operator with setups and jam-ups, ensuring that the area surrounding the machine is kept clean of debris and spills

What you need to succeed

• A learning mindset
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English
• Ability to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals, procedure manuals or assembly manuals
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math
• Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required (We will provide any necessary PPE.)
• Ability to stand and walk continuously with occasional kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)
