Job summary

Hollister Whitney in Quincy, IL is hiring for Machine Assembler on a full-time basis. The position offers a new starting wage of $20.00–$27.00 per hour with additional increases and weekly pay. Shift options include 7:00 am – 5:30 pm CST with 8, 9, or 10 hour shifts.

Responsibilities include building hardware kits per work orders and supporting other departments as needed. Candidates should have welding experience (TIG, MMA), be mechanically inclined, and able to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Must be willing to be cross trained
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face‑shield, gloves etc.)
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus

Responsibilities

• Build hardware kits and assemblies per work orders.
• Step in to assist other departments during a typical work week.
• Ability to lift and move parts as needed.
• Display average coordination on a continuous basis while performing job tasks.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Be open to change and consistent improvement of processes.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties as required.
