Job summary

Butech Bliss in Salem, Ohio, is seeking a Night Shift Machine Assembler to fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring into assemblies, and to inspect finished products for conformance to specs.

You will read blueprints, lay out parts, operate hand and power tools, and maintain parts with calibration checks. The role requires overtime when needed and offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, a strong benefits package, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in large complex machine assembly.
• Experience with overhead cranes and hoists.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment.
• Inspect, operate, and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer specifications.
• Lay out and drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly.
• Position and align components for assembly manually or using cranes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications manuals.
• Remove rough spots, and smooth surfaces to fit, trim, or clean parts, using hand tools and power tools.
• Rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies.
• Set and verify parts clearances.
• Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
• Complies with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Night Shift - Machine Assembler | $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

The rates provided for this position include shift differential.

The Machine Assembler will:

• Fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and welding equipment.

Physical Requirement

• Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.


• Must be able to work at varying heights to assemble machinery.


• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, push and pull.


• If required as part of the job, the individual must meet the specific physical requirements forcab crane operation as outlined on the Cab Crane Job Description Addendum.

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.


• Experience in large complex machine assembly.


• Experience with overhead cranes and hoists.


• Ability to read blueprints/schematics.


• Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
