Job summary

Southwestern Industries, Inc. TRAK Machine Tools in Henderson, NV is seeking a Machine Assembler, Level I to assemble and inspect machine kits, install options, and finish or "green" the machines per specifications.

You will use hand and power tools, along with inspection and calibration equipment, and may temporarily work in other areas as needed by the company, reporting to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of mechanical work experience in automotive, aerospace, or similar fields.
  • Good knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Basic knowledge and use of a tablet.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble machines and inspect tool room equipment according to work instructions.
  • Install and inspect options, verify finishes and greening of machines.
  • Collaborate with management and senior assemblers to ensure quality.

TRAK Machine Tools (TMT) is a manufacturer of TRAK CNC machines and Proto TRAK CNC controls. Our headquarters is located in Rancho Dominguez, CA, just south of Los Angeles with a second facility located in Henderson, NV. We have established direct and distributor sales/service organizations in America and Europe, with sales expanding in other markets internationally.

Job Overview

The Machine Assembler, Level I is responsible for assembling and inspecting tool room machines, installing and inspecting all options and finishing or "greening" the machine. This is further detailed in the Task Outline. The individual will accomplish this by using hand and power tools along with various inspection and calibration equipment. All work will be completed per company specifications. The individual may also temporarily work in other areas as needed by the company.

Requirements
  • Observes all safety protocols
  • Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Ensures all paperwork is present and complete
  • Performs work to a high workmanship standard
  • Utilizes good time management skills
  • Proper tool selection and uses tools in the correct manner
  • Works in both warehouse locations to have a basic understanding of how a machine kit is generated and how a machine is palletized, wrapped and shipped
  • Assembles machines in a consistent manner according to work instructions
  • Communicate well with others
  • Collaborates with management, leads and higher-level assemblers
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years performing mechanical work in automotive, aerospace or similar fields
  • Good knowledge and familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Basic knowledge and use of a tablet
  • Impeccable attention to detail
