Job Overview

The Team Leader is responsible for all store activities in the absence of salaried management. This role embodies the company's culture through the execution of its Mission and Values, demonstrating aggressive customer service, leading store associates, and managing store operations. The position requires developing expertise in company culture, merchandising, shrink control, and operational aspects, with a focus on career progression towards senior management. A thorough understanding of the local market, customer base, seasonality, and competitors is essential. The Team Leader acts as a role model, problem-solver, and time manager to meet store goals and uphold CNRG’s operational guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold CNRG’s Mission and Values daily, ensuring all associates are informed of store and company expectations.
• Define and demonstrate aggressive customer service to exceed customer expectations.
• Supervise store associates as assigned.
• Maintain enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, motivating others.
• Provide solutions to customer inquiries.
• Stay updated on current programs and procedures, communicating effectively with the team.
• Coordinate merchandise orders based on sales trends and customer demands.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Lead and train new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
• Maintain the sales floor and stock areas, including stocking and creating displays.
• Ensure store cleanliness and safety, addressing hazards as needed.
• Complete price checks and updates promptly.
• Obtain certification in all relevant store areas, including forklift operation, DOT compliance, and customer service skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications for Success

The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, problem-solving, and effective communication skills. Must be team-oriented, detail-focused, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
