A marine assistance company in Massachusetts is seeking a full-time Sea Tow towboat Captain to assist boaters with towing disabled boats, fuel deliveries, and salvage operations. Qualifications

• US Coast Guard Captain’s License including Assistance Towing endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

COMPANY BACKGROUND

MAASSmarine owns and operates Sea Tow Boston and Sea Tow South Shore, US Coast Guard-regulated Commercial Marine Assistance Towing companies operating from Beverly, East Boston, Hingham and Marshfield, MA. Sea Tow provides marine towing, vessel recovery, marine salvage, diving, and other commercial marine services along the Massachusetts coast.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time on-site role as a Sea Tow towboat Captain. The Boat Captain will be responsible for daily tasks assisting boaters, such as:

• towing disabled boats;
• fuel deliveries and jumpstarts;
• salvage and recovery of sunk, grounded and beached boats;
• towboat maintenance;
• and more.

Part-time positions may be available as well.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Exceptional boat handling experience and wide range of boating experience
• US Coast Guard Captain’s License required (including Assistance Towing endorsement)
• Experience in marine assistance towing services is a plus; Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced marine environment
