Surgery Partners, Inc. seeks a MA or LPN to support Animas Internal Medicine with clinical and front-office duties. Responsibilities include patient care, chart review, vital signs, injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and scheduling.

Job Summary: Under the direction of Animas Internal Medicine physicians, helps in the delivery of excellent patient care to our community, ensuring optimal well-being, health, and safety of our patients in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the delegation of medical services as defined by State Medical Practice Act. This position performs a wide variety of patient care activities including, but not limited to, maintenance of clinical record and documentation, administering medications, giving injections, performing EKGs, wound dressing, and taking vital signs. This role will assist in front office duties and scheduling testing and/or patient appointments. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is required to conduct all job responsibilities consistent with policies, procedures, and in compliance with all applicable laws or mandates relating to patient care and activities.
Reports To: Supervising Physician, Internal Medicine Team Lead, Director of Patient Care Services
Salary Range: $18.75 - $39.89 (posted hourly range is dependent upon licensure and experience and excludes overtime and bonuses which are not guaranteed)
Essential Job Functions:
Additional Duties
Education: Licensed Practical Nurse - Current licensure in the state which the hospital is located as a Licensed Practical Nurse; Medical Assistant - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred. Current BLS certification required.
Experience: One (1) year recent experience in primary care setting preferred. One (1) year clinical health care experience required.
Physical Requirements
This position requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to fifty (50)+ pounds while administering care to patients. Stooping, kneeling and/or crouching daily in delivery of patient care. Standing and walking for more than five (5) hours per day; running occasionally in responding to patient care emergencies.
Working Conditions/Environmental Exposures
Environmental hazards such as chemicals, solvents, needles, needle containers, sharps, blood, body fluids, various infectious/communicable diseases, infectious medical waste, radiation, and/or radioactive materials and/or radioactive waste, proximity to moving mechanical parts. Protective clothing/equipment may be necessary.
