The Medical Assistant (MA) plays a vital role in supporting the clinical team in a primary care setting. They assist with patient care, administrative tasks, and medical procedures under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider to ensure a smooth, efficient, and patient-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
  • Administer medications and immunizations as directed by the provider.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and phlebotomy as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and clinical areas.
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results, medication instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform front-office duties as required.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.

  • CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in using EMR systems (e.g., Practice Fusion, Epic, or similar).

Practice Manager – Primary Care

Job Summary:

The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the primary care clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient business practices. They supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate schedules, and implement policies that enhance performance and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support clinical and administrative staff, including medical assistants and front desk personnel.
  • Oversee scheduling, billing, inventory, compliance, and overall clinic workflows.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, including OSHA, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
  • Manage clinic budgets, vendor contracts, and purchasing decisions.
  • Facilitate staff training and professional development.
  • Address patient concerns and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with providers and owners to optimize service delivery and business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
