Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Medical Assistant for an outpatient clinic in Missoula, MT. The MA will work closely with Nurse Practitioners and care teams to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care for older adults in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, drawing blood, assisting with vaccinations and tests, and coordinating referrals and follow-ups.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Primary car.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and help maintain efficient clinic flow
• Take and document vital signs, patient histories, screenings, and medication information
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for visits, procedures, and testing
• Perform blood draws and collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Assist with vaccinations, EKGs, spirometry, ABI testing, and other clinical procedures as directed
• Provide patient education related to preventative care, lifestyle, and disease management
• Coordinate referrals, imaging, laboratory work, medical records, and follow-up care
• Assist patients with scheduling follow-up appointments and diagnostic services
• Process medication refill and prior-authorization requests
• Manage clinical documentation, faxes, and medical record requests
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare providers
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam and treatment rooms
• Support vaccine, medication, and laboratory inventory and required safety logs
• Provide coverage and support to other Medical Assistants/LPNs as needed
