Responsibilities

• The Float Medical Assistant travels to rural clinics and the metro Oklahoma City area to assist with coverage for physician clinics.
• This role offers a great opportunity to learn from various physician teams and functions.
• Travel is required, with mileage reimbursement when applicable.
• Under supervision of the Clinic Nurse Director, Clinic Director, or Supervising RN, assist with daily patient care, including patient flow, taking patient histories and vitals, assisting with diagnostic testing, maintaining medical supplies, and other duties as assigned.
• Float or travel to OHHP locations to fill in for clinical positions on an as-needed basis, following all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS certification required within 18 months of hire. Medical Assistant experience of at least one year is required for new hires, with certification completion within 90 days of hire. Those without Medical Assistant experience must obtain certification within 90 days after gaining the required experience.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of continuous experience in a clinic setting preferred.
