Job summary

MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke, MA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our inpatient psychiatric team. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and support treatment plans for adults, adolescents, and geriatric patients.

Schedule is full-time, evenings 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm, with every other weekend and holiday; MA RN license required, CPR certification, and three years of psychiatric inpatient experience

Qualifications

• RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred.
• Three years of adult, adolescent, and geriatric inpatient psych experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to patients/families in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
• Work with the multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop and document goals and interventions.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic milieu and support charge responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is an active participant in the health care team who provides direct and indirect care to patients/families/legal guardians. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in TaraVista Behavioral Health Center core principles. The Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and contributes to each patient s individual treatment plan by helping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions, informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems. Qualifications: Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred. Experience: Previous psychiatric / substance inpatient experience preferred. CPR certification required. Restraint Reduction de‑scalation / crisis intervention experience preferred. Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems; have an advanced level knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; applies nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries; effective oral and written communication; sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record; crisis management, time management, delegating, coaching and team building skills; and be flexible, creative and able to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner About MiraVista MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is an innovative 84 bed inpatient hospital.
