Weber State University invites applications for a MA English Teaching Assistant (hourly/work-study). TAs will be assigned to ENGL 1010 or 2010 sections, or an introductory 2000-level course, attending each class under instructor supervision and learning pedagogy from mentors.

TAs will prepare, deliver, and reflect on five lessons, assist in grading and student communication, and support instructors beyond the classroom within the semester.

Formación

• Be a current student in the Master of Arts in English Program.
• Preference for work-study eligible (FAFSA on file).
• Matriculated MA in English students eligible; TAships capped at 2 semesters.

Responsabilidades

• Attend each assigned class and learn pedagogical methods under instructor supervision.
• Assist in classroom tasks: take attendance, distribute materials, circulate and answer questions.
• Respond to student emails, meet with students, provide formative feedback on assignments.
• Grade assignments under instructor supervision.
• Prepare, deliver and reflect on five individual lessons during the semester.
