Job summary

Healthcare Systems of America is seeking a Server & Application Administrator to lead the administration, security, and lifecycle management of our server and cloud infrastructure, identity systems, and enterprise applications.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Server & Application Administrator serves as the technical lead responsible for the administration, security, optimization, and lifecycle management of the teams' server infrastructure, cloud platforms, identity systems, and enterprise applications. This role provides leadership for infrastructure modernization initiatives, identity governance, privileged access management, and Microsoft cloud technologies while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and cybersecurity best practices.

The ideal candidate possesses strong hands‑ons expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, PowerShell automation, and Identity & Access Management (IAM). Experience with privileged access and identity governance platforms such as Imprivata VPAM/SecureLink, Delinea Secret Server, Saviynt IGA, and ShareGate Migration Tool is highly desirable.

This position partners closely with Information Security, Clinical Operations, Application Owners, and Executive Leadership to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology services that support patient care and business operations.

Essential Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Cloud Administration

• Manage hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure services.
• Maintain high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Resolve complex server, storage, networking, and application issues.

Microsoft 365 Administration

• Administer Microsoft 365 services including:
  • Exchange Online
  • Microsoft Teams
  • SharePoint Online
  • OneDrive for Business
  • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Manage tenant configuration, security controls, licensing, and governance.
• Support Microsoft 365 migrations and optimization initiatives.
• Implement and maintain Zero Trust security principles.

Identity & Access Management

• The administration of enterprise identity systems and access controls.
• Assist with managing Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, federation services, and authentication solutions.
• Design and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) models.
• Implement and support identity lifecycle processes including:
  • Provisioning
  • Deprovisioning
  • Access reviews
  • Certification campaigns
  • Privileged account management
• Collaborate with HR, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate access governance.

Privileged Access Management

• Administer privileged access management platforms and privileged credential controls.
• Manage vaulting, credential rotation, session monitoring, and privileged account lifecycle processes.
• Support PAM implementation and optimization using technologies such as:
  • Imprivata VPAM / SecureLink
  • Delinea Secret Server
  • Microsoft Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
• Participate in privileged access reviews and audits.

Identity Governance & Compliance

• Support identity governance initiatives using solutions such as Saviynt IGA.
• Develop and maintain automated provisioning and attestation workflows.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and security frameworks.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, evidence, and remediation activities.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Develop, maintain, and enhance PowerShell automation for infrastructure and identity management processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through scripting and automation.
• Create reusable automation for user lifecycle management, reporting, monitoring, and compliance validation.

Application Administration

• Administer and support enterprise and healthcare applications.
• Coordinate application upgrades, testing, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Manage application integrations with identity and authentication services.
• Troubleshoot complex application performance and availability issues.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership

• Serve as an escalation point for infrastructure and application-related issues.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to IT team members.
• Participate in infrastructure architecture and strategic planning efforts.
• Develop and maintain technical standards, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional technology projects.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience administering enterprise server and cloud environments.
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• 3+ years of Active Directory and identity management experience.
• 3+ years of PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience leading infrastructure and application-related projects.
• Experience supporting highly regulated environments such as healthcare, finance, or government.
