Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions seeks a Sr Software Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to lead software development for DoD radar control systems, applying MOSA principles and DevSecOps practices.

Sr Software Engineer

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD

Clearance Required: Secret Clearance

Employment Condition: Position contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for DoD systems, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Proven experience in developing software for radar control systems and signal processing applications. Knowledge of DoD software acquisition and development methodologies such as Agile and DevSecOps.
• Ability to apply Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles in software design and development.
• Experience in establishing and monitoring software development objectives and guidelines.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages and ability to evaluate and implement new technologies.
• Experience with software validation, verification, accreditation, and developing test‑automation suites. Ability to conduct peer reviews, maintain and improve existing codebases, and implement software quality assurance and configuration management procedures.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and developing solutions to improve the performance and scalability of systems.

Qualifications

• A minimum of Ten (10) years of Software Engineering experience is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
