STS Technical Services is hiring a Field Service Technician in York, Pennsylvania to provide Field Level Maintenance Support for the M88A1 and M88A2 Recovery Vehicle Systems and the M109 A6/A7 Platform. If you’re an experienced tracked vehicle mechanic with a passion for mission-critical support, this is your opportunity to make an immediate impact with a team that supports U.S. Army operations both domestically and abroad.

Position Summary

This hands-on role is focused on providing field-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and operational support for M88 and M109 platforms. You will follow established technical manuals and directives while ensuring that mission requirements are met on time and with precision. This role requires a strong mechanical foundation, the ability to work independently, and the willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver field-level maintenance services for M88A1 and M88A2 tracked vehicle recovery systems
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair M88A1 / A2 Recovery Vehicles and related US Army tracked vehicle equipment
  • Interpret and apply information from technical manuals and standard repair documentation
  • Execute tasks under limited supervision with a proactive, mission-focused mindset
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to complete assignments and meet deadlines
  • Support deployment and operations with travel as required, both domestically and internationally
  • Operate with strict adherence to safety standards, technical protocols, and government directives
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with direct experience working on M88A1 / A2 recovery vehicles
  • Ability to understand and follow U.S. Army technical manuals
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to perform tasks independently
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Must be eligible for interim security clearance and CAC card issuance
  • Valid U.S. passport with at least 2 years of remaining validity
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with the M88 platform required
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college coursework preferred
