Job summary

Aprio seeks a Senior Tax Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions, to lead complex tax engagements for buy- and sell-side transactions in the US. You will oversee transaction structuring, due diligence reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will advise clients on tax implications of transactions, manage engagement economics, and mentor managers and associates while supporting practice growth and knowledge sharing within the M&A Specialty Tax group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
• CPA, JD, LLM (Tax), or equivalent credential required.
• 8–12+ years of progressive tax experience, including significant M&A transaction tax experience.
• Experience within a national or large regional public accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex M&A tax engagements, including sell-side tax consulting and transaction structuring.
• Advise clients on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and joint ventures.
• Review tax due diligence reports, memos, and client deliverables for quality and accuracy.
